It all begins with an idea. A plan you have hatched in your childhood bedroom with a stolen pair of tweezers (or razor.) Suddenly the beautiful brows you were born with are a thing of the past. Or you are tired of having to line your lips each morning to balance that one side… Maybe you just crave an easier morning routine? Dream it.
So you recently found Caitlin’s work, or maybe you have been patiently waiting for the day that you find the right artist. However you ended up in this little corner of the interweb, it is wonderful to have you here! Consider what it is about your brow you would like to change. Is there a shape or style you lean towards? Your artist has a natural eye for detail and is happy to work with or without client input. We know that sometimes you just want to leave it to the experts.
Map it.
In our opinion, mapping is the magic. Using abundant knowledge, and variety of techniques, and years of experience- Caitlin will precisely measure all of your features, and in understanding that every face is perfectly imperfect, will find a balance that defines and highlights your best features.
Own it.
Once your service is finished and Caitlin has taken your after photos; you will be given and walked through your aftercare instructions. Follow them; you have paid good money to invest in this service and the aftercare is equally important to ensure best healing. As they say, everything worth having takes effort.
How does it work?
Upon arriving for your session appointment one of two things can be expected to happen- a consult (to discuss your health, skin type/condition and goals) followed by completing forms and required paperwork, or just the paperwork. Our artists will spend this time finalizing the prep for your service and getting set for her work ahead.
Once you lay down on the table; get comfy and relax - If you love to listen to podcasts, audio books or music, bring some headphones. Your artist will do her magic, using a variety of techniques to measure and shape out brow that are ideal for YOUR face. At that point you get a chance to weigh in and guide your artist as the shape gets perfected in every regard. When we find the sweet spot and are content with the mapping, you are ready to be numbed prior to the procedure beginning.
Once you are fully numbed(if required), it is time to really get to work. Your pigment(or products) are already blended(or set), the plans are made and we begin making first passes. Many people are shocked to find that the mapping often takes longer then the actually application of the pigment. The magic is all in the mapping. Our artists will meticulously check and recheck each area to ensure proper coverage and density.
All initial PMU services are a minimum two part process; your first appointment puts something on the skin and allows you to see how the results heal and adjust if needed for the second session which is all about perfecting every little detail.
